Kabali free Tickets!



India is gearing up for ending open defecation under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan scheme, authorities in the Union Territory of Puducherry has found a new way to promote the usage of toilets.
 The government of Puducherry has decided to give the residents of Sellipet panchayat free tickets for superstar Rajinikanth’s upcoming movie ‘Kabali.’

Recently appointed Puducherry Lieutenant Governor Kiran Bedi tweeted about the initiative of the government to popularize the use of public toilets provided by the government.

“Collector in pondicherry is using gift of tickets of this film as incentive for use of Public Services!Its Working!,” tweeted Bedi.

The government of the union territory has set aside Rupees 120 crore to build toilets for 55000 people.

In a recent survey, it was found that about 58 percent of the households in the village defecate in open spaces. Out of the 772 households in Sellipet village, 447 didn’t have toilets. Then the collector came up with the innovative way to promote the use of toilets.

In another tweet, Bedi requested Rajinikanth to be the brand ambassador of Prosperous Puducherry, a program devised by the government as part of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.

Directed by Pa Ranjith, “Kabali” is the story of the rise of a gangster from rags-to-riches. Also starring Radhika Apte, Dinesh, Kalaiarasan, Dhansikaa and Ritwika, the film is produced by Kalaipuli S. Thanu.
