Karthi’s eagerly awaited Saguni which was due for release for Tamil New Year in April has been pushed by a few weeks.
The film produced by Dream Warriors and directed by Shankar Dayal is an action packed comedy entertainer.
The reason for the delay in release is that Saguni is being reshot after theproducers saw the double positive of the film. Scenes featuring Salim Ghouse who plays the main villain are being reshot, as it has not come out well. Salim has combination scenes with Karthi which lacks the punch.
The producers Dream Warriors have roped in Prakash Raj to replace Salim Ghouse and reshoot the scenes. Prakash Raj as villain is definitely more appealing in a mass film than Ghouse. Prakash is being paid a whopping salary for his 10 day ‘Tatkal’ dates.
The buzz in trade sources is that Saguni will now be postponed to May end or June first week, due to this change in villain.
