Actor Vijay after "Beast" release on April 13 he has started his next project with the famous Telugu director Vamshi Paidipally on April 6. Produced by Dil Raju, the Tamil-Telugu bilingual 'Thalapathy 66' went on the floors with a formal pooja, yesterday.
'Thalapathy 66' is said to be a family entertainer with Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead while veteran actor Sarath Kumar is playing a key role. Veteran actor Prakash Raj is also expected to join the cast. With music composed by leading musician Thaman, Earlier it was said that Raju Murugan of 'Joker' and 'Cuckoo' fame was reported to have been on board 'Thalapathy 66' as additional screenwriter and dialogue writer. However it has been announced that lyricist Vivek is now on board instead. and additional screenplay while Karthick Palani cranks the camera and Praveen KL takes care of editing.
Sharing the movie launch video of 'Thalapathy 66' on his page, Vamshi wrote, "#Thalapathy66..Cherishing the new beginnings with THALAPATHY @actorvijay Sir, @iamRashmika & the whole team :)" (sic). The regular shoot has already begun with the filming of a song sequence, reportedly. Sources say that the team is eyeing the Pongal 2023 release for the upcoming untitled project. Rashmika enjoying her fangirl moment with Thalapathy.
